Become a Basketball Ambassador.

Full Court Peace is dedicated to using basketball to help people in need around the world. Whether we're going to places where basketball is already played, or if we're introducing the sport to people, our high-impact sports diplomacy trips create lasting change wherever we go. Take a look at at some of the work we've done by clicking here.

WHO ARE FCP AMBASSADORS?
We're looking for young leaders. Our Ambassadors are self-motivated, forward-thinking individuals who are passionate about helping others, and who are willing to work hard to make social change where social change is seldom made.
FCP Ambassadors typically range in age from 17 to 25, have strong experience either playing and/or coaching basketball (this is not a prerequisite), and have demonstrated an ability to lead their peers through difficult, unique challenges.

WHERE DO FCP AMBASSADORS GO?
Our current work includes basketball mission trips to Latin America, Europe, and Sri Lanka.

Kevin just accepted a high school teaching and coaching job in Chicago!
Kevin, a 2010 graduate of Columbia University, helped lead his second Ambassador Trip to Cuba in July of 2011. Kevin has been instrumental in developing Full Court Peace's initiative in Cuba, raising money at home and being a key organizer on the ground in Havana. In between his trips to Cuba, Kevin completed a Master's Degree in Education from Durham University in England. While he was a graduate student, Kevin played for a local semi-professional basketball team.

"Our son’s trip to Cuba exposed him to new views on his and others' lives. He learned that what we take for granted in the United States, such as a pair of basketball shoes, is the most appreciated asset a child from Cuba can own.  Our son was able to see the gratitude the Cuban families showed when he rebuilt a basketball court and spent time teaching the children.  We know that his experience has allowed him to grow as a person and not take all that we have here in the United States for granted.  We are grateful for all that Full Court Peace has shown him."

Colin recently accepted a Fulbright Scholarship in Bulgaria!
Colin Powers spent two years living and working in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where he coached integrated high school boys' basketball teams. The teams comprised an equal number of Catholic and Protestant youth from segregated school systems, and they traveled to the United States to compete in 2009.
